ภาคใหม่ของ Need For Speed จับกระแสวัยซิ่งได้อย่างตรงประเด็น
ด้วยความสวยงามของภาพที่ดีกว่าภาคก่อนๆมาก และการนำ Effect แบบ Motion Blur เข้ามาช่วยกระตุ้น
ความรู้สึกซึ่งทำได้ดีมาก นอกจากนี้ระบบการเล่นที่หลากหลายและฉากที่มากถึง 111 ฉาก ทำให้เล่นได้นาน
จนเบื่อไปข้างหนึ่งเลยทีเดียว และแม้ว่าจะมีเมืองอยู่เพียงแค่เมืองเดียว แต่ก็เป็นเมืองที่มีขนาดใหญ่
ทำให้แผนที่ของการแข่งขันนั้นแตกต่างกันออกไป (แต่ถ้ามีเมืองมากกว่านี้ก็จะดีมาก)
ที่สำคัญระบบเสียงและเพลงก็ทำได้ยอดเยี่ยม
การปรับแต่งรูปลักษณ์ของรถก็มีตัวเลือกหลากหลาย แม้ว่าในส่วนของการปรับแต่งเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ
เครื่องยนต์และอุปกรณ์ภายในต่างๆ นั้น จะไม่มีความแตกต่างหากเป็นอุปกรณ์ในระดับเดียวกัน
อย่างไรก็ดี โดยรวมแล้ว Underground นับเป็นเกมขับรถที่ดีที่สุดในปีนี้ก็ว่าได้
